Salman Khan is all set to play a middle-class, middle-aged widower and father of two in Mahesh Manjrekar’s upcoming directorial venture.

It will be the remake of super-hit Marathi flim ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho.’

Talking to a news daily, a source said, "Like the boy in Manjrekar`s film, Salman shared a volatile relationship with his father Salim Khan. He has also spoken of the way he was beaten as a child, and his hatred of formal education."

Confirming the news, Manjrekar said, "Yes, Salman saw the Marathi film and loved it. He has never attempted something this middle-class before. This film will open a whole new fan following for Salman. He has played the cool dude to perfection. Now, it`s time to play a not-so-cool dad."

South Indian beauty Asin, who is currently shooting with Salman Khan in Sri Lanka for Anees Bazmee's Ready (remake of the Telugu hit Ready) is likely to face a ban on acting in Tamil films. A decision on her ban is expected to be made by the South Indian Film Artistes' Association in a couple of days.

Earlier, the SIFCC has also decided to boycott Bollywood actors and technicians who performed at the IIFA awards in Sri Lanka, following allegations of genocide against Lankan Tamils during the war against the LTTE and the continuing discrimination against them.

You might had seen the 1994 comedy flick 'Andaz Apna Apna' which starrered the duo Aamir and Salman, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi it was huge hit on those days.

At present that film is said to be passing through bad time. Generous Salman Khan met the producer Vinay Sinha. During the visit, worried producer floated his idea of having sequel to his film.

Salman gave his patience hearing and agreed to do the sequel.

“I was deeply moved when Salman agreed to do the sequel to my film immediately. We've had some lengthy discussions about the script too.”, says the producer.

Vinay is planning to meet Aamir and Raj Kumar Santoshi soon.

Recently Salman Khan was seen tweeting about how impressive the film was while Karan Johar was raving about the song "Ullu Da Pattha" and even wore the T-shirt proudly.

Kangana Ranaut was also seems to like the film.

Says a trade analyst, "The subject of the film is very unconventional and seems to have caught everyone's attention. Its fresh casting and peppy songs by Shankar Ehsaan Loy too seems to have generated a lot of interest over the film from within the industry."

TERE BIN LADEN is a comedy directed by debutant Abhishek Sharma is about an ambitious young news reporter from Pakistan played by Ali Zafar who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream.

His repeated attempts to immigrate are shot down as his visa is always rejected. But when things couldn't look worse he comes across an Osama Bin Laden look alike.

Recently Katrina has arranged a screening of her hit film 'Raajneeti', for Salman khan and his family.

Katrina said, "I wish all these speculations on my personal life would end. Salman's family is the only family I've known in Mumbai. That can't change.

"Of course, I wanted Salim saab to see Raajneeti for very special reason. He has seen my struggle in Bollywood from the start. He's very proud of me."
